It is reported that there is a preparation to carry out the further work of the Legislative Council through the 9 currently appointed members without appointing the full number of members of the Legislative Council.
There should be 10 members of that council and currently 9 members have been appointed.
Only the minor party representative remains to be appointed.
At present, the name of Mr. Siddharthan has been suggested by the Tamil parties and the name of Mr. Udaya Gammanpila has been suggested by the Wimal Weerawansa party.
However, the consensus reached by all the party leaders during the appointment of the Constituent Assembly is that without appointing all the 10 members, its activities cannot be carried out.
However, since the representative of the minor party has not been named, it has been learned that there are preparations to continue the work of the council with the 9 members currently appointed.
