Will the president lose his finance ministry if the speaker signs on the 22nd?

With the Speaker’s signature on the 22nd Constitutional Amendment passed by the Parliament, there is a notion that the President’s position of Finance Minister will be eliminated.

The amendment specifies that the President may only hold the position of Defense Minister.

In accordance with Article 44 (3), if a subject or function is unassigned, the President may only perform those duties for a period of fourteen days.

Currently, the President also holds the position of Minister of Finance in addition to that of Minister of Defense.
