China asserts that it does not expect third parties to interfere with its legitimate maritime activities.
According to foreign media, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs made these remarks in response to India’s remarks about a Chinese ship scheduled to arrive at Hambantota port.
As a result, China expects relevant parties to accurately monitor and report on China’s oceanographic research activities. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also stated that China has always used ocean freedom legally.
According to reports, the disputed Chinese ship is scheduled to arrive at Hambantota port on August 11th. India had stated that it was keeping a close eye on the ship’s arrival.
The disputed vessel is a Chinese-owned Yuan Wang 5. According to foreign media, it left China’s Jianing port on July 13th and is currently sailing in the East China Sea past Taiwan.
