it is not certain the inquiry into the attack to the Galle face protest is concluded. This is very clear going by the facts presented by the lawyers to the courts. According to the criminal investigation department there is hardly any one to be arrested. They had only former minister Johnston Fernando. who was surrounded by MSD personnel CID could not apprehend him finally they had to obtain a warrant order to arrest him but this warrant order could not be executed by the CID. Finally Johnston Fernando surrendered to the court and got bailed out in couple of hours.
Very strangely the head of MSD withdrew the MSD personnel provided to Johnston Fernando. Authorities got angered by this move of The Head of MSD and even was considering a transfer for the MSD head. Director MSD did not give up he even sounded mentioning few more former ministers names and insisted on MSD guard to withdrawn.
The director MSD is a senior superintended of police who possesses relevant knowledge of Minister’s security with a firm back bone and a straight forward officer. Even today he is able to remain unchanged because of his pure and clean hands.
Senior DIG western province Desha Bandu Thennakoon is accused for the 9th May Galle Face protest attach due to this Attorney General instructed the Inspector General of Police to transfer Deshabandu, he further instructed to held a disciplinary inquiry on him. but up to now none of this has happened. even courts has reminded on this several times. what is very clear here is Deshabandu is been protected by a very powerful connection from a very strong personals is what being spoken with in the police circles
Courts requested supervision of this inquiry be handed over to DIG, Attorney at Law kamal Silva . Considering all evidences recorded by the CID ,and other volumes of evidences recorded and extracted compiled by the CID Kamal Silva recommended Deshabandu be charged under section 216 of the Peanel code and act under the guidance of the attorney general. However even today no action has been taken against Deshabandu.
Attackers to the protestors set off from the Temple Trees, the security outside Temple trees manned by DS director Suprintendent of police Lushion Suriyabandara. Evidence given to the CID by him reveals the 9th attack was made known by the inelegance reports but the police never had any precautionary action plans what ever. some senior police officers were seen from morning onwards on this date. DIG Chammpika Siriwardan’s this statement is not a evidence against Deshabandu Tennakoon but what he highlighted is the reality of the uncertain police administration. This is the repercussion of keeping incumbent IGP away from his role and his powers and authority being misused by some one else. if senior DIG had allowed to exercise his duties on Temple trees and the protest cite this discussion on the 9th May would not have taken place. Or else all these accusations would have leveled against DIG Ajith Rohana and IGP perhaps would have sent on compulsory leave.

The victim is not a ‘ white character’ he is an addict of ‘ice’ a drug, he also is a drug dealer. He is also a close associate of few security personnel. Reason behind his killing is attributed to that he was considered a security personnel informant. This youth’s father too was not a good character he was abducted in a white van some time ago and got disappeared. Son tried to replace his father and face an untimely death.

Before the Alakanda shooting last time a gun was fired was at New Road Modara on last 6th. The Victim was a drug dealer. Police investigations revealed the killing was administered by Indian based Guna. Police believe a drug dispute has led to this killing.
