Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s National Organizer, Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa returned to Sri Lanka after a personal visit on the 20th, and the General Secretary of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Member of Parliament, attorney at law Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam has issued a statement that nothing illegal or objectionable happened and that the propaganda in this regard is devoid of truth.
Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam further stated in the announcement that Mr. Basil Rajapaksa and his wife have paid $200 and $400 each for the use of the VIP terminal and money for the tea party, and all the facilities have been obtained according to the normal procedure.
