What was the secret deal in London with Lyca Mobile chief Allirajah Subaskaran?

Why Chinese ambassador pay frequent visits to Mahinda’s residence?

Who sent Sajith the secret IMF document before the president tabled it in parliament?

Sri Lanka will receive loans from the International Monetary Fund…’

‘Many government institutions have to be sold…’

‘The most serious condition has been debt restructuring…’

‘In the first phase, the debt should be restructured and completed…’

‘In the second phase, measures should be taken to reach the top of the international rankings…’

‘The most difficult task is in the first phase and the second phase…’

‘China is going to impose difficult conditions in debt restructuring…’

If China does not agree, the loan program is in danger…

These are some of the things we’ve uncovered about IMF borrowing over the last two months from the ‘inside politics’ column. Some people laughed when we revealed these facts, but they are now becoming true. As previously stated, the IMF approved the loan to Sri Lanka last Monday (20) and took steps to release the first installment to Sri Lanka on Thursday.

Fire crackers in joy

The most notable event to occur here was that on the day that Sri Lanka, which has a debt of 53 billion dollars, received another 3 billion dollar loan, UNP party members joyfully set off firecrackers at the Sirikota party headquarters as well as in several other parts of the country. Pohottuwa members, on the other hand, who previously blamed the International Monetary Fund, this time with the President, sang praise songs to the IMF. President Ranil Wickramasinghe also issued a brief statement to the media on Monday night, and made a special statement in Parliament about it on Wednesday.

The President planned another special event to happen in the Parliament on Wednesday. That is, the loan agreement of the International Monetary Fund to be presented to the Parliament on Wednesday itself and to get it approved by a vote even before the opposition parties could go through it.

President’s plans flopped

However, the leaders of the Samagi Jana Balawega got to know about this plan of the President. In a message received by Sajith from within the government, it was said that the President has planned to present the Financial Fund Agreement to the Parliament and get approval for it on Wednesday itself. Usually, in such a crucial matter, the opposition is given a reasonable period to study the agreement, but this time, the president’s plan was to proceed without leaving any room for it.

But this plan of the President was turned upside down because the agreement containing the conditions related to the loan agreement was already in Sajith’s hands by Tuesday. Accordingly, Sajith immediately called the panel of economic experts including Kabir Hashim, Harsha de Silva and Iran Wickramaratne representing the economic committee of Samagi Jana Balawega and studied the clauses of the agreement word by word. Sajith carried out these activities very secretly because on Wednesday to face the government’s plan strongly and turn the government’s plans upside down.

Government folded their plan

As mentioned, on Wednesday, the President made his speech in Parliament and finally said that he is ready to hold a poll on the same day. Everyone in the government thought that the opposition would be against it, but to everyone’s surprise, Sajith said that the opposition is also ready for it. When Sajith said that, it was seen how the ruling party was shocked for once. At the same time, it was seen that the government was withdrawing the decision of the polling on the same day that had been planned.

President at opposition lobby

Meanwhile, the President made his speech in the Parliament and did not go directly to the lobby of the ruling party, but to the lobby of the opposition. That is to put a big show on the opposition MPs regarding getting a loan from the financial fund. Usually, Sajith was not in the opposition lobby much, but on that day Sajith was sitting in the opposition lobby with a group including Rajitha, Chandimal Weerakkodi, Marikkar and discussing the conditions of the financial fund.

As soon as he saw Sajith, Ranil got a bit nervous. However, seeing Ranil coming, Chandima asked, ‘Mr. President, you came here today with the IMF trophy rather unusual ? ‘ Before Ranil could answer, Marikkar said, ‘Ah, he has won the Royal Trophy now… that’s why he is coming here…’. Then Ranil also smiled and said, ‘First of all, Marikkar should give a party that he removed Mujibur from Parliament..’ After that, when Ranil said something to Sajith, Sajith answered back, and the President went to the government lobby again with a long sour face.

Chinese view

However, despite the fact that the government is happy with the loan from the financial fund, the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Wang Wenbin, made a special statement to the media on Wednesday. The Chinese spokesman, who initially expressed his happiness about getting a loan from the financial fund, finally said that all countries should be treated from the same policy in debt restructuring. He said without saying that all the creditor parties in Sri Lanka should act in the same way. We said last week that China plans to notify the IMF, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank as a tactic in these debt restructuring negotiations that they should first clarify the debt restructuring of their debtor countries. Accordingly, it has been seen that the government cannot conclude the debt restructuring negotiations very easily.

Crowded MR’s house

At present, the official residence of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa at Wijerama Mawatha has once again become an active place with frequent visitors as it was four or five years ago. Mahinda’s official residence on Wijerama Mawatha has been deserted for the past few months. Only a handful of people who knew Mahinda went there occasionally. But now, the house on Wijerama Mawatha has become a political battleground where Deputy Ministers visit, ambassadors visit, political friends visit, frequent discussions, satarakanmantras and debates take place.

We made a special disclosure in this regard last week on the ‘inside politics’ column  and said that Mahinda has decided to enter active politics again, and accordingly he has started the operation to activate  pohottuwa once again, from his official residence in Wijerama Mawatha where Mahinda lives. Last week, Mahinda Pohottuwa’s group of MPs brought the group of MPs to Wijerama Mawatha’s home to discuss the facts that we uncovered within a few days.

Trade union backing

Also, Mahinda, who lived a very quiet life in the past, has now decided to return to active politics after careful planning and careful consideration of a number of serious decisions. One of the decisions has been whether or not he is still in the government. In particular, the Rajapaksas throughout the last period were of the position that the people of Sri Lanka would have to suffer greatly if they took a loan from the International Monetary Fund. Because of this, Mahinda was not very willing to seek help from the International Monetary Fund. The reason for this was because Mahinda calculated that the Rajapaksa’s politics would be 100% over if he went to the financial fund. Accordingly, the Mahinda group have planned to put the responsibility on the people and trade unions to get the IMF burden away.

Why Wijerama not Nelum Mawatha?

Accordingly, why did Mahinda choose Wijerama Mawatha instead of Nelum Mawatha, which was the party headquarters, to launch this operation? There are several reasons for that. One of the main ones has been the decision taken by many ministers from Pohottuve not to go back to Nelum Mawatha. Also, many crucial people have refused to participate in the discussions held at Nelum Mawatha. That is probably due to the fact that the party office at Nelum Mawatha is operated under the leadership of Mr. Basil Rajapaksa.

Defectors back to Pohottuwa ?

However, this week we are ready to reveal another special secret to the country through the ‘inside Politics’ column. That is that a massive operation has been launched behind the scenes to bring groups like Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila, who were considered to be strong figures who contributed greatly to the Pohottu Party when it was created, back to Mahinda.

In the behind-the-scenes discussions, the people who participated in it have pointed out that the services of the team including Wimal, Gammanpila and others are essential for the Rajapaksa side in the future as several topics are going to come up at the national level in the future. They are of the opinion that Wimalla’s voice should be in the Rajapaksa camp, especially since many activities such as the conditions of the International Monetary Fund, the implementation of the 13th constitutional amendment, and the privatization of government institutions are to be done in the future.

However, although we do not have 100% official information to confirm whether Wimal and Gammanpila discussed with Mahinda at Mahinda’s official residence in Wijerama, we have a lot of unofficial information regarding the efforts made, the discussions held in this regard, the facts exchanged, the people who started the discussions, etc. However, it is reported from unofficial information that during these discussions, views were also exchanged about the conflict created by the government with the judiciary.

Basil factor

Apart from this, the ‘inside politics’ column has now come to know a special piece of information regarding Basil. Although Basil usually launches political activities cantered on Nelum Mawatha, it was seen that he participated in Mahinda’s discussion held at Wijerama residence last week. However, when Mahinda was actively involved in politics again, the information we got to know says that Basil has planned to play a quiet political role.

It is also known that Basil went alone last week without telling anyone and held a discussion with President Ranil Wickremesinghe. It is also learned that an inquiry has been made by Basil from Ranil regarding the appointment of the new cabinet. In the exchange of views on that, when Ranil pointed out that MPs who have certain charges cannot be given minister ships, Basil has also requested that other MPs be given ministers instead of those accused MPs. But it is known that Ranil has not given a specific answer. However, it has not yet been revealed whether Basil has made this proposal with the approval of the accused MPs.

Hapuhinna Saga

Meanwhile, a few months ago we did a special report on the ‘inside politics’ channel about a serious issue that arose based on a circular issued by Mr. Neil Bandara Hapuhinna, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs regarding the postponement of the election. The letter issued by Hapuhinna read an order issued to the divisional secretaries and district governors to refrain from accepting the election deposit money of the candidates of political parties and independent groups.

When there was strong opposition from political parties and civil organizations in this regard, Hapuhinna made a public statement and said that he sent the letter based on a Cabinet decision, and that the Cabinet Secretary had sent him a letter to give such instructions.

The opposition leader Sajith Premadasa had openly questioned about this in the Parliament, and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena replied that such a decision was not taken by the cabinet and no such letter was sent by the cabinet secretary. With that statement, Neil was exposed to society as a liar.

Dinesh not truthful?

However, although this incident had gone under the radar, about three weeks ago, through another incident, this incident was once again being discussed in the political arena. About 3 weeks ago, a certain English and Sinhala newspaper revealed special news in its main headline and took steps to publish the letter addressed by the Cabinet Secretary to the Secretary of the Ministry of State Administration, Mr. Neil Hapuhinna.

They had taken this letter with a request from the Ministry of Public Administration under Freedom of Information Act. Accordingly, the two Sinhala-English newspapers that received this letter took steps to publish it in their original news, making the statement made by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena in Parliament that the Cabinet Secretary had not sent such a letter a lie. Accordingly, with the publication of this news, it was clearly seen that Dinesh had given false information in the Parliament.

No confidence motion

In addition, that newspaper had published another special story the very next day. It was a statement obtained from Sajaba General Secretary Mr. Ranjith Maddumabandara that Dinesh had lied in Parliament. Also, Ranjith Maddumabandara had said to the newspaper that he would submit a motion of no confidence against Dinesh to the Parliament for lying.

Coup to remove Dinesh

Accordingly, it was clearly seen that these two news were published with the aim of attacking Dinesh and Dinesh’s position as Prime Minister. Accordingly, as soon as this news was published, the parties related to the President also assumed that it was published according to an organized plan of some group. The decision of the President was also that some people wanted to remove Dinesh from the post of Prime Minister by bringing a vote of no confidence.

Dinesh’s exit Mahinda’s  entry!

However, four weeks ago, we made a special disclosure through the ‘inside Politics’ column and said that the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has started negotiations to get the post of Prime Minister again, and accordingly, through several representatives, he has sent messages to Dinesh to resign from the post of Prime Minister. In addition, we revealed that a special agent met Dinesh and informed about this. But there, Dinesh gave statements to various media and said that the story is false, that no one has informed him to resign from the post of Prime Minister, and that he will continue to work as the Prime Minister.

But with the publication of the article mentioned below in the relevant newspapers, the people who are calculating from the President’s side are currently looking to see if there is any connection with the news from Wijerama’s official residence or not. Accordingly, an English newspaper related to the President’s family made another special request under the Freedom of Information Act last week.

That is to provide information about how much money has been spent by the Prime Minister’s Office in the renovation of the Wijerama official residence where Mahinda lives, how much money has been spent on buying new furniture, and how much has been spent on the people who have been given contracts for it.

Cost of MR official residence repair

However, the topic of repairing Mahinda’s official residence first came up during the tenure of Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the President. Accordingly, after receiving the relevant proposal from the Prime Minister’s Office, the President took over the work of repairing the Wijerama Official House under the Presidential Secretariat. At that time, we also took steps to publish that information in the ‘inside Politics column.

Accordingly, when the prime minister’s office was asked about the money spent on repairing Mahinda’s official residence, they said that all related work was done by the presidential secretariat. Due to this , the relevant English newspaper has forwarded the request under the Freedom of Information Act to the President’s Secretariat. However, there is now a serious situation as to whether the presidential secretariat will release the information related to the billions of rupees spent on repairing Mahinda’s house to the newspaper.

A Cold war

Also, while reporting information in this regard, we once said in the ‘inside Politics’ column that the materials needed to repair the house were obtained from the government-related building materials corporation through various contractors. Accordingly, the new chairman of the Building Materials Corporation has prepared a special audit report. Through the audit report, it has been learned that all the information related to where these goods were taken from, whether the tender procedure was followed for taking the goods, whether tenders were called, etc. It is also known that the chairman has forwarded this audit report to the Attorney General’s Department.

Accordingly, looking at all these facts, even though they are laughing and chatting when they are outside, behind the scenes, a fierce cold war has started for the position of Prime Minister.

Astrology and MR

And last week we also reported that a certain period had been proposed for Mahinda for the post of Prime Minister from the side of astrology. Another special point related to this is whether we are revealing the ‘state secrets’ belt this time. According to the information we have, the astrologers have given the 7th of May as the most auspicious day for Mahinda to regain the position of Prime Minister. Accordingly, many people claim that Mahinda has restarted the fight to become the prime minister with this date in mind.

Why Chinese ambassador visits MR

Also, these days, another very special character has been known to regularly visit Mahinda’s Wijerama official residence and often hold discussions. It was none other than the Chinese ambassador. In this way, we came to know about another wonderful plan during the investigation of the Chinese ambassador’s frequent visits to Wijerama’s official residence these days. Accordingly, we are ready to reveal another special secret through the ‘inside politics’ column this time. We are going to say this about an incident that happened during Gota’s government and an incident that is going to happen if Mahinda becomes the Prime Minister in the future.

Four Billion from China

When Gota was in the presidency and had to face the beginning of the economic crisis, China had decided to give a loan of 4 billion US dollars with the aim of providing immediate help to Sri Lanka. That was before Sri Lanka was declared a bankrupt state unable to pay its debts. Accordingly, Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabral, who served as the Governor of the Central Bank at that time, had continuously indicated to Gota that China had agreed to provide this loan of 4 billion dollars for the first Sinhala New Year, and that the country could proceed with this loan without declaring bankruptcy.

But there Gota had informed Cabral that former central bank governor Indrajith Coomaraswamy and his group, who were giving him financial advice, had declared the country bankrupt and had instructed him to suspend the payment of the debt. No matter how much Cabral said to Gota against it, because Gota did not change his opinion, the Ministry of Finance decided to declare the country bankrupt without taking the 4 billion dollar loan that China was ready to give. Not only that, Gota also took steps to go to the International Monetary Fund according to those instructions.

China gets closer to MR again !

But why does the Chinese ambassador continue to go to Wijerama’s official residence to meet Mahinda even though the International Monetary Fund has approved a loan of 2.9 billion dollars to Sri Lanka? Why has Mahinda decided to oppose the conditions of the International Monetary Fund in the future?

It is not because of anything else, but because if Mahinda opposes the conditions of the International Monetary Fund and takes the position of Prime Minister, the loan facility of the Financial Fund will not be available, so he is keeping in mind to get loan assistance from China as before. We have come to know that China has planned to give Gota 5 billion dollars instead of 4 billion dollars if Mahinda becomes the prime minister.

SL involve with ‘geo politics’?

There is also a serious question as to why China is preparing to re-enter Sri Lanka in this way. With the war between Russia and Ukraine going on for more than a year, it has been seen that America and China are once again preparing to camp geopolitically. When the powerful countries such as America, India, Japan, Australia, and Europe filed into one camp, Chinese President Xi Jinping suddenly went to Russia and took steps to renew China-Russia relations. Accordingly, there is a serious problem as to whether China is trying to include Sri Lanka in that group. However, it is clear that many political stories are hidden behind the frequent visits of the Chinese ambassador to Mahinda’s official residence in Wijerama these days.

Why Niel Hapuhinna was transferred?

However, a few weeks ago, according to an official request made by a media organization to provide the letter sent by the Cabinet Secretary under the right to information, the secretary in charge of the affairs had taken steps to inquire about it from Mr. Neil Hapuhinna, the secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. There, Hapuhinna was advised to provide the relevant letter because according to the law, if such a request is received, it should be provided. But with the release of this letter to the media, a serious political crisis arose.

Rebound of Dineshe’s story

One of them was that Dinesh’s story to Parliament that no such letter was issued becomes a lie. The other is to prove that it has been discussed in the cabinet. Through that, it was also seen how a part of the big accusation against Hapuhina was saved at the same time. That was the first thing that influenced Hapuhinna to get a sudden transfer.

The second issue was a controversial situation that arose in the discussion about what to do with the local government bodies after the end of their term of office. A proposal from Basil’s side said that a committee made up of former chairman and vice-chairman should continue the work of the local government bodies. But due to the lack of legal provisions, the proposal has now been thrown into the trash.

Decline president’s proposal

On the other hand, the same proposal was presented by the President. That too, it should be maintained before the local authorities through a committee. After coming to know this proposal as the Secretary of the Ministry of State Administration, Local Government and Provincial Councils, Ministry of Home Affairs, he has directly taken steps to discard the proposal stating that there is no legal provision for it. Accordingly, the rejection of the proposal by the President and the release of the letter sent by the Cabinet Secretary to the media had caused Hapuhinna to lose his position as Ministry Secretary and inform him to report to the President’s Secretariat.

Sale of govt. own enterprises

Another special announcement was made by the government in the evening on the same day that Sri Lanka received the first loan instalment from the International Monetary Fund. It was indicated that the government has decided to sell the shares of the government owned by seven government institutions. The seven organizations were Sri Lanka Telecom, Litro Gas, Sri Lankan Airlines and Sri Lankan Catering, Lanka Hospitals, Hilton Hotel, Grand Hyatt Hotel and Sri Lanka Insurance. However, the most special event seen here was the government’s decision to liquidate Sri Lanka Telecom, Sri Lanka Hospital and Sri Lanka Insurance, which are making huge profits.

Lanka Hospital

However, this time we are preparing to reveal through the ‘inside politics’ column an extraordinary secret that no one knew until now. It is about how the initiations to sell Lanka Hospitals begin. Although the government issued an announcement last Thursday that this institution will be officially sold, the necessary environment and negotiations have started not just yesterday. The talks started six months ago, in September of last year in London. This time, in the ‘State Secrets’ section, we are going to reveal how these discussions started in London, who were the participants, and who is ready to buy Lanka Hospital.

Lyca Mobile

According to the information we have, it is none other than Subhashkaran Allirajah Sufashkrana, a controversial Dravidian businessman of Sri Lankan origin, who is preparing to buy Sri Lanka Hospital. Otherwise, he is the owner of Lyca Mobile, a powerful businessman representing the Tamil diaspora.

This Allirajah Subaskaran is not a new name in Sri Lanka. He was known among the people of Sri Lanka as with the purchase of the Swarnavahini channel belonging to the E.A.P. media network. This transaction was so controversial that even today there is a great mystery about it. Accordingly, as soon as former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa came to power, a special committee was appointed to look into the allegations.

Swarnawahini deal

The same committee also looked into the related transaction and gave the report to the President. It is known that the report has revealed that there has been serious fraud and violation of terms and conditions in the execution of this transaction. After that, steps were taken to forward the report to the Attorney General’s Department. Later, the Attorney General’s Department forwarded it to the Central Bank based on the conclusions that the monetary regulations of the Central Bank have been violated.

No action on the commission findings

But even today, no further action has been taken according to that report. The current president does not seem to be taking any action in this regard. However, it should be mentioned here that in the future we are ready to publish a controversial article with different starting points of this swarnawahini channel transaction.

Secret discussions in London

This time we are revealing about the secret discussion held in London to buy the said Lanka Hospital. A certain strong character and a super woman participated in it from the Sri Lankan side. This powerful figure is still a VVIP who holds a high position of advisor in the government. A person of stature, Superwoman is also a famous woman who has relations with high-ranking politicians and millionaire businessmen. She is also known for playing the role of intermediary in billions of transactions. It is a fact known by many people in the industry that these two are ‘living together’ or living in the same house without marriage.

Lanka Hospital & Allirajah Subakaran

Accordingly, these two left for London last September to discuss the deal related to Lanka Hospital with Allirajah Subaskaran. The meeting was organized by this woman herself. It was based on the close relationship between Allirajah Sufashkrana and her. Accordingly, after her arrival in London, she first made Allirajah Sufashkrana meet this powerful adviser. During their time in London, these two stayed in VVIP hotels in the most luxurious hotel rooms they travelled in luxurious Rolls Royce cars.

It was during this discussion with Allirajah Subaskaran that it came out for the first time that the government is planning to sell Lanka Hospital. After receiving a positive response from Allirajah Subaskaran, it is learned that there was a special discussion about how to conduct the transaction and how to prepare the background for it. And on the same days, a high-ranking Sri Lankan delegation was visiting London, and the two have taken steps to organize a super meeting with them, according to inside politics.

London discussion

Accordingly, many people are questioning whether the government is working to sell Lanka Hospital as a result of the discussions held with Allirajah Subaskaran in London last September. Allirajah Subaskaran is ready to buy the shares after sending them to the Colombo Stock Exchange. Apart from the communication sector, which is currently Allirajah Subaskaran’s business sector, Allirajah Subaskaran is also ready to enter the hospital sector through this.

We have many other extraordinary information and photos of this London discussion and if Allirajah Subaskaran’s name comes to the fore in the future in the case of Telecom and Lanka Hospital transactions, we plan to reveal all of them to confirm this story that we are revealing today.

Crisis in SJB?

Last week, journalist Dayaseeli Liyanage of the Sunday newspaper ‘Lankadeepa’ had publish a special story on the front page about the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. It was said that the other party leaders of that party had a disagreement with Sajith due to the inability to fulfil the conditions and agreements reached during the formation of Samagi Jana Balavega, and thus a serious crisis has been created within Samagi Jana Balavega.

It was mentioned in the news that Mr. Rishad Badiuddin did not participate in that discussion. However, on the day after this news was published, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya made a special statement stating that the news was completely false and that there was a meeting between the leaders of the SJB Party, but no such issue was discussed there. SJB said that the discussion was about the anti-presidential activities of the government and how the opposition would respond to it together and pointed out that Mr. Rishad Badiuddin had participated in the discussion. Accordingly, once again the ‘Lankadeepa’ media network has published a false news targeting SJB.

In addition to this, last week, SJB touched on two other special works. The first of which was the program of uniting the entire opposition against the government’s influence on the judiciary. The foundation for this was laid in the opposition leader’s office by Sajith and Professor G.L. Peiris in a special discussion.

Government pressure courts

The government is putting pressure on the court. In this regard, the opposition should go to a joint program and defeat this situation…’ said G.L. While saying this, Sajith’s agreement was also expressed. Accordingly, it was decided to make a joint statement of the opposition against this repression by the government.

The responsibility of involving the opposition representatives was assigned to President’s counsal Thisath Wijegunawardena, who is Sajith’s parliamentary secretary. Lakshman Kiriella was entrusted with the responsibility of inviting JVP. Even though the JVP has avoided the joint activities of the opposition for the past period, after talking to Anura, informing about this, Anura agreed to have Dr. Harini Amarasuriya participate in it. Accordingly, Sajith Premadasa, GL. Peiris, Dallas Alahapperuma, Wimal Weerawansa, M.A.Sumanthiran and the signing of many opposition representatives including Sumanthiran, Udaya Gammanpila, Asanka Navaratne, Tissa Witharana, Weerasumana Weerasinghe, Gevindu Kumaratunga, Chandima Weerakkodi, Harini Amarasuriya was seen. It was seen as the first time in recent times that the entire opposition came together.

Meet the ambassadors

The second incident was when the opposition decided to meet the foreign ambassadors in this country and inform them about the repressive program of the government. This decision was taken in the recently held meeting of SJB parliamentarians. The meeting witnessed three special events. One of them was that Mr. Jayaratne Herath, who was an MP from Pohottuwa, was seated in the SJB MP group for the first time. Although Jayaratne Herath joined SJB before, he went back to the government on the promise of a ministerial position. But Jayaratne Herath had decided to unite with SJB once again due to not getting a ministerial position. Accordingly, Jayaratne Herath had participated in the meeting of the SJB MPs that day.

Apart from this, it was a special event that Mr. Rajitha Senaratne, who had been reported by the media to take the post of Health Minister and join the government, also participated in the meeting of Samagi Jan Balawega councilors that day. And the third event was that Mr. Imtiaz Bakir Marker also participated in this meeting. Recently, several media related to the government had reported that Imtiaz had a rift with SJB. But Imtiaz could be seen participating in the meeting of the SJB parliamentarian group, disproving that media report.

Meeting in the hotel TaJ

However, in this meeting, Kavinda Jayawardene proposed that the international community should be informed against the repression launched by the government. It was also suggested that the ambassadors of all major countries in this country should be informed and held in a high-class hotel in a professional manner.

Accordingly, steps were taken to decide the date at that moment and to reserve the Colombo Taj Hotel for it. It was also decided to invite all the party leaders representing the United People’s Alliance and the Joint Opposition.

Apart from Sajith representing the opposition, Lakshman Kiriella, Harsha de Silva, Talatha Athukorala, Iran Wickramaratne, M.A. Sumanthiran, Rauf Hakeem, Mano Ganesan, Kabir Hashim, Ranjith Maddumabandara, G.L. Peiris, Charita Herath and others participated. G. L. clarified the facts that the purpose of the discussion was to postpone the elections, interference with the judiciary, suppress democracy, human rights violation, etc., and not support it at all.

It was a special event that all the diplomatic officers who were present emphasized that; they do not support anything like that. Claiming that they have already informed the government about this, they informed the opposition representatives that if the government continues to ignore it, they are ready to take some decisions in the future.
