UN special rapporteur on HR defenders, condemn arrest of Joseph Starlin

Mary Lawlor (UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Defenders), a special activist on human rights at the United Nations, has spoken out about the arrest of teacher’s union leader Joseph Stalin yesterday (03).

She claims she heard disturbing reports from Sri Lanka that the famous human rights defender Joseph Stalin was arrested today at 6 p.m. She claims that in recent weeks, the work of human rights defenders like Joseph has become more important than ever and that it should be supported without impunity.
