Two prominent members of the United Nations will visit Sri Lanka in September!

While the United Nations Human Rights Commission’s session is set to begin in September, two prominent members of that organisation have planned to visit Sri Lanka.

Rory Mungowan, Head of Asia-Pacific at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, and David William McLachlan-Carr, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific at the United Nations Development Co-ordination Office, are the individuals (UNDCO).

Rory Mungowan will arrive in Sri Lanka in early September.

David William McLachlan-Carr is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (16) and will remain until Saturday (20).

During this visit, the UN official is expected to meet with the President, Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Secretary of the Treasury.
