Two lawyers claim one crore from the police for being thrashed during peaceful protests!

Two lawyers filed a fundamental rights petition in the Supreme Court, claiming that they were attacked and arrested by the police while participating in a peaceful protest and that their fundamental rights were violated by the attack.

10 people, including the Inspector General of Police, Attorney General, and Deputy Inspector General of Western Province, Fort, Maradana, Wellaweediya and Kurunduwatta Police Stations, have been named as respondents. This petition was filed by Attorneys at Law Janaka Adikari and Lakdinu Dheerasekera.
