Dr. Omalpe Sobitha Thero is urging people to turn off the lights for 30 minutes today, from 6.30 to 7 p.m., in protest of the government’s attempt to raise the electricity bill.
He stated that the government’s repressive, unjust, and people-hating efforts should be defeated.
