Many trade unions have organized a protest in Colombo today in protest against the government’s arbitrary tax revision and the shortage of drugs in the country’s hospital system.
Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe, the media spokesperson of the Government Medical Officers Association, said that the protest is going to be held jointly with several trade unions and civil organizations under the leadership of the Government Medical Officers Association.
