TID arrests suspect allegedly linked to ISIS

The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) has arrested a suspect in connection with his alleged involvement with two Indians who are linked to the ISIS.

Police said the suspect was arrested in Kattankudy in Batticaloa.

It was reported that the arrested suspect was in Indian custody over the blast in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore.

This arrest was reportedly made after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India on Wednesday arrested a member of the terrorist organisation Islamic State (IS) who was in touch with the mastermind of the 2019 Easter Day bombings in Sri Lanka, for his alleged links with suspects in the October 23 blast in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore.
