A person who was pushed in the queue during a rush at the Matugama Pelawatta petrol station has died after falling sick and being admitted to the hospital, according to Meghathanna police.
The police say he is a resident of Valallavita aged 65 and named P.A Gunasiri. .
While in the queue to get fuel to a can, the man was got pushed and crushed and fell down unconscious.
In this petrol station, the system prescribed by the government was not implemented, and before this, there were many irregularities, the residents say.
