Parliamentarian M.Sumandiran said that the government without a mandate is hiding IMF conditions. He says that this government should be dissolved immediately.
“The Sri Lankan government has now fulfilled a condition with the International Monetary Fund. A debate will be held in the Parliament on April (25) during the upcoming parliamentary session. I asked the President a question in the Parliament when the transactions with the International Monetary Fund started. Is this being done transparently? He gave an assurance about it. But those things have not happened.
None of us know what the conditions are. We have also come to know it through other means. This cannot be done with a government without a mandate. Parliament should be dissolved and a government with a people’s mandate should be brought. “Otherwise, the country will not accept the transactions with the International Monetary Fund,” said the MP.
