It is reported that the preliminary investigation of the sexual bribery complaint made by Ishara Devendra, a former news anchor of the Independent Television Service (ITN), has been held at the Ministry of Media last week.
The investigation has been conducted under the leadership of Ms. Sweena Chang, a lawyer.
Ishara Devendra was present at the inquiry and her statement was recorded.
It is reported that the investigation officer has decided to get a statement from the head of the channel based on the facts revealed during the preliminary investigation.
After recording the statement, the Inquiry Officer will submit a report containing her recommendations.
