The last phone call made to the 16-year-old schoolgirl who died in Kalutara was by her friend who took her to the hotel, according to police.

Police investigations have revealed that the last phone call to the 16-year-old schoolgirl who fell to the ground from a five-storey hotel building in Kalutara and mysteriously died was made by her friend who took her to the hotel.

After receiving this phone call, the student got angry and panicked and jumped from the fifth floor of the hotel, the police said.

This 19-year-old girl is currently in prison and investigations have revealed that she is involved in various indiscipline acts.

The 19-year-old girl along with her boyfriend had taken this 16-year-old girl named Vihara to the hotel.

It was also revealed during the police investigation that the two had handed over the girl to the 29-year-old main suspect and then left the hotel.

The police suspect that the Vihara girl was put in trouble by this couple.

The police believe that when the last call was made to Vihara’s mobile phone, she scolded her 19-year-old friend in harsh words, saying that it would have been better if she had eaten me and killed me.

In this regard, the police are working to record statements from the 19-year-old girl who is in prison.

It has not yet been revealed what was the telephone conversation between the deceased girl and her 19-year-old friend.

However, the police have started extensive investigations regarding this call. The police said that the phone analysis reports are being obtained and investigations are being conducted in this regard.
