The person who became seriously ill following the tear gas attack during the Jataka Jana Balavega protest held at the Colombo Town Hall on April 26 is still unconscious and receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the Colombo National Hospital, according to Mr. Akalank Ukwatta, a lawyer.
Ajith Gamage, an engineer by profession, is receiving treatment at this time.
Since the attack, Mr. Ukwatta claimed, he has been unconscious.
Mr. Nimal Amarasiri of the Nivithigala area was reported to have died as a result of this attack.
