The IMF agreement has been adopted! Mahinda casts vote in favour to get 120 ! The opposition is entirely opposed to it!

The voting in the parliamentary debate related to the agreement on the International Monetary Fund’s extended credit facility was held this afternoon (28).

Accordingly, 120 votes were received in favor and 25 votes against.

Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa also attended and took steps to vote in favor of the agreement.

After that, the Speaker informed the Parliament that the relevant resolution was passed.

However, the government had 123 votes in the last budget poll.
