Sources close to the government state that President Ranil Wickramasinghe will most likely hold the position of Finance Minister in the new government.
According to the sources, the president will be the finance minister because he needs to keep working with the International Monetary Fund and the current economic crisis.
The sources further state that the President will hold the position of Finance Minister for a short period of time.
