Speaker Mr. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said that the Election Expenses Regulation Bill, which includes provisions for the control of election expenses of election candidates, has been forwarded to the Attorney General and the Law Drafting Department for proper preparation.
The speaker said that after the preparation of the bill, he would receive it this week.
Mr. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena added that the bill will come into force after he certifies it.
