The 42 individuals arrested at the Socialist Students Union rally in Colombo yesterday (24) were referred to the Colombo Forensic Medical Officer this afternoon.
There, student activists told the media that the battle cannot be stopped by the government’s coercive acts, and that their goal is to depose President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Yesterday, 83 people were arrested, including Eranga Gunasekara, national organiser of the Socialist Students’ Union.
