According to sources the Special Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department has questioned and recorded statements from eight officers of three police divisions including the Modara Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau regarding an incident in which two businessmen were attacked and two kilos of gold worth nearly three crore rupees were stolen.
The statements have been recorded from three sub-inspectors, one police sergeant and four police constables of Modara Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau, Divisional Criminal Intelligence Unit and Crime Division of Modara Police.
