Mr. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, Minister of State for Primary Industries, was insulted and attacked with a motorcycle helmet by two persons at Badulla Bandaranaike Mawatha yesterday (19) evening.
It is said that the attack took place when the state minister stopped his car near a shop belonging to a Badulla local council member and was having a conversation.
The Minister of State was not harmed in this attack.
At that time, the security officers of the ministers have used the minimum force to prevent the second attack.
One person has been arrested by the police in connection with an incident of assaulting the state minister. -Newswave
