Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Marshall Islands, Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America have now signed the resolution. ,

Russia and Bangladesh, which traditionally voted in favor of Sri Lanka, have lost their voting rights this time.

India and Nepal are said to have decided to abstain.

It is also reported that the Middle Eastern countries which voted in favor of Sri Lanka have also decided to refrain from voting this time.

The UN Human Rights Council’s resolution against Sri Lanka is to be submitted for voting on October 6 or 7.
