Sri Lanka donor coordination expanded by IMF

According to IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, the IMF is pushing for a more effective debt resolution system.

“We want the Common Framework to be more predictable with guidelines and capable of bringing equity of treatment for all creditors, public and private,” she said at a press conference.

She also stated that the IMF is looking into methods to broaden donor coordination to middle-income countries such as Sri Lanka.
