Today’s Kolonna Cooperative Voting Election in Ratnapura District was won by Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya received 115 votes out of 119 votes cast, giving them a five sixth margin victory. After 25 years, the SLFP camp lost power in a cooperative election in Kolonna Constituency, a bastion of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the Pohottuwa.
Samagi Janbalawega has won the great majority of cooperative elections held around the country. It is more than 98%.
