Gayan De Mel, the organiser of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Kesbewa Electorate, was arrested today by the Piliyandala Police.
According to the Piliyandala Police, he was arrested in connection with six incidents of violence reported in the Piliyandala area during the public unrest on May 9th.
According to the Piliyandala Police, the SJB member will be brought before the Piliyandala Magistrate’s Court today (8).
