The Galle Police have launched an investigation into the serious sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl by a doctor working at Karapitiya Hospital.
The crime occurred on August 8th in the Radiology Department of Karapitiya Hospital’s Emergency Unit.
The girl was admitted to the hospital on the 7th due to an abdominal problem. According to police, she was sexually abused by the doctor when she was sent for an abdominal scan on the 8th.
When the incident is revealed, the doctor flees and goes into hiding. He is a father of two, according to police.
