Sarath Fonseka: Entire country should fight to remove crooked leaders(VIDEO)

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, a member of parliament from the Gampaha District, stated in parliament that voters cannot send corrupt politicians home; only struggle can accomplish this.

Mr. Sarath Fonseka stated that the country must be rescued from corrupt politicians through battle. Mr. Sarath Fonseka further suggested that, in the future, the entire nation should join the battle and that the term “struggle” should be substituted with “unarmed and innocent people’s march.”

Mr. Fonseka questioned whether the country’s people should boil and eat the IMF, and he recommended that the IMF understand the people’s problems at the grassroots level; otherwise, they would be unable to put down the rebellion.

During a debate, he asked the members that simply because the parliament is supreme in theory will not satisfy the citizens’ need. If the agricultural minister states no money is given to him to purchase fertiliser, it is pointless to try to assassinate him because he will be unable to do so without money. Aragalaya should come. That is all these legislators are afraid of. They were hiding, hose days riding in modest cars, and not attending gala functions on  due to fear. Aragalya must and will come to replace this crooked politician he said. The video clip appended below.
