Samantha Power arrived in SL on a 3 day to discuss about prevailing economic crisis

Ms. Samantha Power, the administrative officer of the American Aid Program for International Development, arrived in the island from Katunayake Airport this morning for a three-day official visit.

Four people were included in the delegation that came with her.

A group of senior officials from the US Embassy in Sri Lanka and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka were present at the Katunayake Airport Special Guest Room to welcome the delegates.

The Mawrata website said that power would come to the island last week.
