Sajith reveals former Mako Mahinda Deshapriya’s double game! Deshapriya joins the committee and tries to delay the election! (Video & Photos)

The opposition leader said that it is reported that a delimitation commission has been appointed and Mr. Mahinda Deshapriya has been appointed as its chairman and that they are trying to postpone the elections through that committee.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said today (5) that they are trying to hold a new provincial council and parliamentary election through this commission, but what should be done is not to revise the electoral system, but to listen to the people’s opinion and give them their vote.

Former Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya said earlier that elections should be held from time to time and that he is against holding elections by using various cunning strategies. If those statements of his are still valid today, the opposition demands that they do not get caught in the trick of postponing the elections by getting the chairmanship of the Delimitation Commission.

The opposition leader said that postponing the election is a violation of the people’s democratic rights and that the people are demanding an election so it should be given and if not, they will take to the streets with 220 lakh people and get an election.

The opposition leader said this while addressing the East Anuradhapura Constituency Assembly meeting of Anuradhapura District of Samagi Janabalawega.
