Five million rupees were missing from the vault of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s main building.
Yesterday, the Fort Police received a complaint in this regard.
According to the complaint made by the section’s head, one of the bundles of money stored in the building’s underground third floor was missing.
He also mentioned that this storage room has advanced security systems and cameras.
The officials who complained also stated that it appears that one bundle of money that was prepared to be taken to other banks for the New Year has gone missing, and that they will conduct another calculation to locate that bundle of money.
