Ranil decides to continue with the two weeks cabinet.

President Ranil Wickramasinghe has decided to continue with the cabinet, which was appointed for two weeks .

Earlier, it was announced that when the Cabinet of Ministers takes oath, it will be limited to only 2 weeks and representatives of other parties will also be included in the Cabinet.

Accordingly, the President had planned to split the Samagi Jana Balawega and the Tamil National Alliance and bring the MPs into the government and give them cabinet ministers as well.

But despite trying for more than a month, the president was unable to win MPs from the two parties.

However, it is reported that the president has decided to continue with the current cabinet in order to delay the implementation of that effort.

The head of the IMF also emphasized yesterday that only a government with a mandate can carry out these political reforms, and that political reforms must be carried out in order to get the money from the fund.
