Rajapaksa’s Tangalla stronghold is also shaken! MPs join SJB with the chairman!

The two received SJB membership through Dilip Vedaarachchi, the district leader of Samagi Janabalawegaya in Hambantota, and also submitted nominations to run for the Tangalle Urban Council under the Samagi Janabala banner in the impending provincial elections.
A press conference was organised at his office under the direction of member of parliament Dilip Vedaarachchi, with the participation of other councillors.
MP Dilap Vedaarachchi stated at the press conference that it was a success for him to have both the Chairman of the Tangalle Urban Council and Mr. Araliya Erandima join the SJB. Dilip Vedaarachchi asserted that the city of Tangalle does not belong to Mahinda Rajapaksa, but rather to us.

The Councilors and Chairman who joined the Samagi Janabalawegaya stated that the presence of the two JVP MPs and the Podujana Peramuna team prevents them from serving the inhabitants of the city of Tangalle. That is why they opted to join a capable group, they explained.
