Today, anti-government protesters stormed the President’s official residence in Fort, Colombo, via Janathipathi Mawatha.
The group includes members of various trade unions as well as members of the general public.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is said to be missing from his official residence and his whereabouts are unknown.
Large crowds have gathered in several parts of Colombo to express their displeasure with the President and his government over the country’s current crises.
