President Ranil opposes the Geneva resolution presented by Prime Minister Ranil through Mangala!

The government led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe has announced that it rejects the last two resolutions of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) as unconstitutional.

Foreign Minister Ali Sabri has informed the Geneva Human Rights Council this time.

However, the special event to be seen here is that when the current President Ranil Wickramasinghe was the Prime Minister of the good governance government in 2015, these proposals were presented by the then Foreign Minister Mr. Mangala Samaraweera.

In this resolution, agreement was expressed regarding the establishment of an external mechanism to investigate war crimes allegations.

But this time, it has been learned that the President, who has objected to it, has proposed an internal investigation.
