People who turned on their lanterns without complaining about the dark…

Social media is the newest trend in communication. When the world talks about communication, it talks about social media. When talking about the technological development of mass media, we say that the world has been transformed from old media to new media. Many people believe that social media has lost many of the old media’s reliability, safety, and so on, television, radio, and newspapers. Because of this, many people think that social media is playful, youth-friendly, disturbing, unreliable, and quick to respond. The opinion that it is harmful to social media is heard more and more.

If these said characteristics are present in the social media, then it is true that there is a problem in the social media. However, we are not going to talk about the evils of social media. We have also had to talk about the great and amazing good of social media, which we often say is bad.

People are working very hard right now. Many people struggle financially. We heard and saw not just one or two cases where people hanged themselves because they could not pay their debts, but many. So we made the decision to write this tale. In actuality, a man becomes a hero if he lives, not after he passes away. We have heard and seen evidence of how social media is helping to popularise these heroes’ stories and give them more power. We saw this on a Facebook page called ‘Manusat Hada’

“I am glad that I started a spice business rather than staying home. My girlfriend too is willingly assist in many ways and that makes me even happier. I’m close to Kiribathgoda Hospital’s access road. If you come to buy things as well, it will make me happier.

This post also included a picture of the sister and brother in question. This boy and girl should engage in a mental game when there is a problem rather than hanging and dying together. This is a tale of the heroes of our nation if the images and accounts in them are accurate (we are publishing them with the article). Instead of giving up on life and fleeing, instead of forsaking him, he ought to be overjoyed to have a girlfriend like this to support him through life.

However, this is an occasion when ‘Manusat Hadin’ published another story like this. This is the same page as ‘Manusat Hada’. ‘Here boys, I also started a ‘kola kada’ business in Dambulla. No money to start going to technical college. You can’t even ask mothers. The idea came because the leaves in the village are plenty. Started small, the village boys gave such a good support. Tech starts at 8.30 on the first day. From 6 in the morning to 7.20 am, he sells green leaves on the roadside and then gets on the bus and goes to Technical studies. If anyone passing by from Dambulu Oya junction, drink a glass of green kada in the morning….’

If you are travelling from Dambulu Oya side, look around a bit. If this young man is here, you can also help him by drinking a glass of ‘kola keda’. It is not only a help you give to him, but he will become a great help to the country for tomorrow and for our future. And we saw another story on a social networking web page. It was on Pathum Kerner’s Facebook page.

Stopped in an ideal place to drink a glass of porridge in the morning, this is Sravastipura in Anuradhapura. From Anuradhapura to Colombo, passing Kurunegala road and you will find a beautiful shop near paddy field, which is about two kilometers away. The owner is a young man. His name is Mahinsaka. He worked hard to make the place beautiful, and the work is done in an orderly manner. While serving porridge in the morning,   it gets switched to soup in the evening.

What we’re attempting to say is that it’s very beautiful when two stories come together. One is that social media platforms have a function. Facebook bullies, instead of using this to hurt and insult someone else, instead of using it to destroy someone else, if you can, use this to build someone else up; it will be a strength not just for you but for the nation and the future. The other thing is that you young people still have some resources in this nation that will allow you to live with a straight back.

We’re telling you there’s still hope for you. Do you actually depart the country immediately? Or are you dissatisfied with life because you are unemployed? You might even consider killing yourself on occasion. People used their own strength to rise up. Making your own boat and continuing to learn to float is preferable to having someone else act as your anchor and source of strength. After that, you can pause wherever you want.

Then you can stop anywhere. You can go as far as you want. If that happens, no one will be able to stop your success. So make yourself a shelter. If you can tell the world about the people who adopted those shelters, if you know stories like this, send them to us. Once we met someone from Lake Kandy.

He sells kudalu or some other natural drink. By selling this drink, he says that he can earn a lot of money in a day. We don’t write his income because if our income tax officials find him, ask him how much he earns, and file income tax cases stating it was in the newspaper and, it could be a big problem However, he says that there are plenty of kudalu trees in our village. Those trees grow many fruits. No problem. That you can continue this business, that’s why, boys and girls, you  try and get up, it’s not impossible to still get up.
