Sri Lanka recorded over 49,100 dengue cases so far in 2022.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 49,149 dengue patients were reported and a majority of 10,227 cases were reported from the Colombo District.
6,598 dengue cases were reported from the Gampaha District, and another 3,272 dengue cases were reported from the Kalutara District.
The highest number of dengue cases were reported in the month of July, which is 11,248 cases.
In October 2022, a total of 586 cases were reported, said the Health Ministry.
