The school teachers had noticed a change in the behavior of this child who had lived such a miserable life and had questioned him about it.

There, the teachers have come to know that the child has been constantly attacked and tortured.

This 15-year-old child, who is studying at St. Francis Maha Vidyalaya, Dalugama, Kelaniya, shed tears and narrated the unpleasant events he faced.

It was reported that the concerned woman had also threatened the teachers.

Then the teachers informed the Peliyagoda Police and the officers of the Children’s and Women’s Bureau came and took the child to the police yesterday.

During the interrogation, it was further revealed that the child had been beaten like this for a long time.

The woman of the house where the child lived also came to the Peliyagoda Police and the police questioned her as well.

At present, the child has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital under police protection and is scheduled to undergo a medical examination.
