The Minister of Ports, Navigation, and Aviation Services, Mr. Nimal Siripala de Silva, has stated that although investors have been asked to submit bids for the Hambantota Mattala International Airport, no permanent investor has yet come forward.
However, he has also indicated that some individuals are volunteering for tasks like airplane maintenance.
