Mahinda return to the Wijerama home after its Rs.800 million renovation! Gota leaves Bauddaloka Mawatha for Mahinda’s old residence!

It is reported that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will most likely go to his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo today.

Due to the renovation of this house, the former President lived in another official residence in Stanmore Crescent.

During the time of former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, an estimate of more than 400 million was presented for the renovation of the Wijerama official residence, but Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa did not pass it.

But Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe, who later became the president, had passed more than 800 million to repair this official residence.

Sources say that even more money has gone into the renovation of this house.

It is said that the reason for this is that some new parts have been added to the house so that the sons of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa can also live there.

However, it is said that after Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa went to that house, Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is going to go to his official residence in Stanmore Crescent.

He is currently living in an official house on Bauddaloka Mawatha and due to the excessive sound of the vehicles’ horns, he had requested to be given another house.
