Less than 48 hours until the crucial vote on the IMF agreement! Many parties have expressed their opposition, and a few more will make a decision soon!

There are less than 48 hours left for the vote regarding the IMF agreement.

Several major parties have publicly announced that they will vote against the agreement due to the unfavorable conditions for the country.

Several other parties remain undecided.

According to the information we have, the National People’s Force, the Freedom Janata Sabha and the Tamil National Alliance representing the opposition have already decided to vote against the agreement.

It has been learned that Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse, who represents the ruling party, has always stood for the protection of government institutions, so he has decided not to be in the assembly during the polls.

According to Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, it is said that several other senior MPs, including the General Secretary of Pohottuwa Mr. Sagara Kariyawasam, have also decided not to participate in the polling.

But still the main opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya has not taken its final decision in this regard.

It has been learned that two opinions have emerged in the party and one part says that they should vote against it while another part says that they should support it.

However, the final decision in this regard is to be taken by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya either tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

If by any chance the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, following the other parties of the opposition, decides to vote against the IMF agreement, the government will undoubtedly have to face a very critical situation tomorrow evening.
