Japan supports Sri Lanka! But not to the government!

Japan supports Sri Lanka media reports indicate. Japan has decided to provide another US$ 3.5 million as additional emergency aid to Sri Lanka.

However, this money will be received through the World Food Program (WFP), the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) without giving it directly to the government.

Earlier on May 20, Japan also provided 3 million US dollars in humanitarian aid, and thus far, Japan has provided 6.5 million US dollars in humanitarian aid to Sri Lanka.
