When Ranil became the president and suppressed the struggle, the pro-government media made a big deal about a story that the protesters planted a ganja plant and were using it on the grounds of the Galle Face struggle. The story is that when the army entered the Temple Tree premises, the pro-government media tried to portray the strugglers as a group of people wearing long beards and hair and using ‘Ganja’. But when the Minister of State for Tourism of the government, Diana Gamage, speaks in parliament and outside promoting growing ganja, pro-government media shout in glee, shouting “eureka” and “eureka” as if Diana had made a discovery to bring much needed foreign exchange to the country.
The real story is that it is not the strugglers who have used ganja, but the government which was established to thanks to the struggle.
‘Why do we say government has taken ganja ,,,?
They forget where they were after smoking marijuana. Forget the stories they spoke and advocated. All the ministers of Ranil’s government seem to have forgotten where they were and are at present.
The best examples is Susil Premjayanth. Susil went to the Delkanda market and found a wonderful discovery. It was during Gota’s government. He found the goods are expensive. He shouted to the country that the prices of goods are high and people cannot live. Susil said then, that he go to Delkanda market at least once a week.
Then he was the Minister of State. Gota removed him as Minister of State. Today he is the minister. Now he forgoten the delkada pola. He forgoten not only the Delkanda Pola but also that he is a minister under Ranil Wickramasinghe’s government. He forgot that his president is Ranil. He seems to be forgotten like that, thinking that people have forgotten what he said about Ranil when Ranil was Prime Minister in 2015. This is a interesting story he told about Ranil in 2015.
‘Ranil Wickramasinghe did the biggest attack after the LTTE attacked the Central Bank. Ranil advised Arjun Mahendran in the best way to defraud the central bank and destroy the country’s economy. A few years ago, the LTTE attacked the Central Bank. They attacked like that knowing that the central bank is the heart of the country’s economy. In the same way, Ranil attacked the Central Bank. One of Bandula’s main election promises was to cancel the Singapore-Sri Lanka trade agreement and not to allow the signing of Singapore Sri Lanka,trade agreement.
Today, Bandula is a minister in Ranil’s government. Bandula used his vote to make Ranil the president. Two or three weeks ago, Ranil said in a meeting of Indian businessmen in Sri Lanka that the Ekta Agreement will be implemented again.
He went to Abe’s funeral and met the Prime Minister of Singapore and promised to re-implement the Sri Lanka-Singapore trade agreement.

will see But it’s like he didn’t see it. Next is Wijayadasa Rajapaksa who is like an unseen cousin. He was the Minister of Justice in Ranil’s government in 2015. In 2017, he was removed from the post of minister. He came to ‘Derana 360’ in 2017 and said:

It is a question as to why Wijayadasa, who said that he was removed from the minister’s post because he prevented ‘Ping Kate’ being confiscated in the temple, is silent about the light bill in the temples today. It was Ranil who was the Prime Minister when he tryed to confiscate ‘Ping Kate’ in the temple. Today, Ranil became the president and because of the increase in the light bill, the temples have become helpless. As a powerful minister in Ranil’s government, Vijayadasa does not say a word about it.
Next, Wijayadasa said that Ranil’s government pressured him to remove the homosexual offense from the Penal Code as the main reason why he was removed from the post of Minister, but he did not do it.
I was told to legalize homosexuality. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Office are calling me and asking me to do this. I also discussed with religious leaders. Those religious leaders said that if they do this, they will take to the streets. I said that if this is done, I will also take to the streets. Recently, the Sri Lankan media reported that President Ranil had informed the Attorney General to remove the clauses that allow the police to arrest people of different gender identities through emergency legal regulations. Wijayadasa will not open his mouth to say whether the order that came to the Attorney General’s Department under Justice Minister Wijayadasa Rajapaksa went to the trash or somewhere else.
Next, Vijayadasa says that when he was questioned by the cabinet against the leasing of oil tanks in Trincomalee, he was insulted. Now the Cabinet has approved to lease not only oil tankers but also Cipetco filling stations to India.
Was Vijayadasa sleeping in the cabinet at that time…?’
People say that all these ministers are like ganja adicits today, because the ministers have forgotten what they said about Ranil, but the people have not forgotten. This government came claiming to be an all-party government. To be precise, this government is not an all-party government but a Ganja partisan government.
