Inland Revenue Department is hot on Rev. Jerome’s tail.

It is reported that the Department of Inland Revenue has taken steps to find out whether Reverend Jerome Fernando has properly paid the taxes he has to pay to the government.

It is said that the Department of Inland Revenue does not have Pastor Jerome Fernando’s National Identification Number or any other information.

The Inland Revenue Department has asked Glorious, the church owned by the pastor, if they pay taxes, but they have not provided any information about it.

The Inland Revenue Department says that no tax relief has been given to the Reverend Glorious Dome church.

Accordingly, they are required to disclose their assets under the Inland Revenue Act.

Government registered temples are exempt from taxes. Registration alone is not enough for tax exemption. There is a separate ordinance for that and religious places that are not subject to that ordinance must pay tax.
