India speak good about Sri Lanka in the United Nations

Addressing a session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has stated that Sri Lanka has recently been provided with relief of US$ 04 billion.

Stating that India gives priority to its nearest neighbours, she said that efforts have been made to ensure food security in Sri Lanka, which is a neighbor as well as a close friend.

She has also disclosed here that the Development Cooperation Fund, established jointly by India and the United Nations in 2017, has provided development support for 66 projects in 51 developing countries.
