Justice Minister Wijayadasa Rajapaksa had informed the Parliament a few moments ago that Mr. Maithripala Sirisena and Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara representing the opposition who participated in the party leaders’ meeting attended by the President yesterday requested that the Election Act be submitted to the Parliament as soon as possible.
Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa said that only Mr. Rauf Hakeem, who represented the opposition, protested.
