It is reported that the government has sent a message to three independent members of the opposition to vote in favor of the government in the election against Mr. Janaka Ratnayake in case of any emergency.

These three MPs got elected to Parliament contesting from the Pohottuwa Party and are currently sitting independently in the opposition.

Accordingly, in a message received from the government side yesterday, it was read that if there is an emergency situation, some signal will be given in the council, and then the vote should be given in favor of the government.

However, it is known that all these three MPs have rejected the government’s proposal.
