After the arrest of Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu in Madagascar, a group of lawyers from Sri Lanka has also gone to Madagascar to rescue them. It is said that a presidential counsel and two female lawyers have been included in that group.
During the time when Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu were detained in the country, they even proposed to offer 600,000 US dollars to the police officers in order to be released from the custody of the security forces of the country. Harak Kata and others are said to have come from Dubai by jet to attend a birthday party organized by Kudu Salindu. Harak Kata came to Madagascar with his wife and three others. They were arrested by the Madagascar security forces when they were about to return to Dubai. The Dubai-bound team included kudu Salinda as well.
A group of 8 people, including Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu, were arrested at Iwato Airport in Madagascar on March 1. Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu have been trying to free themselves by giving money to the Madagascar security forces since the moment they were arrested. It is said that the team of lawyers from Sri Lanka arrived within 3 to 4 days of their arrest. They have tried their best not to hand them over to this country and keep them there.
The police team consisting of four people from Sri Lanka travelled to Madagascar to bring harak kata and kudu salinda on 11th evening. It was a flight belonging to a Sri Lankan airline from Katunayake Airport.
The team included Assistant Superintendent of Police Mihindu Abeysinghe of the Criminal Investigation Department, Chief Inspector Rajakaruna of the International Police Branch, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sagara Kulasekara of the Intelligence and Operations Division of the Special Task Force and Chief Inspector Nadika Silva of the Intelligence Division of the Special Task Force. .
It took 12 days to travel from Sri Lanka. First to Mumbai, then to Ethiopia, and from there to Madagascar. On the 13th, they have taken over the Kudu Salindu and Harak Kata. It is Antananarivo Airport. An agreement has been reached with the Madagascar police to take the harak kata and kudu salinda and equipment into the plane. The special police team from Sri Lanka had to pick them up at the airport due to their rowdy behavior without boarding the plane.
After subduing the officials, brought them to the international airport in Nairobi, Kenya by a plane from Madagascar. Plans were made to arrive at the Mumbai airport in India on a plane belonging to a Kenyan airline. The group had to stay at the airport for about 10 hours, holding hark kata and kudu salinda, until the flight to Mumbai, India was ready.
The airline has informed that the passengers cannot carry hark kata and kudu salinda when boarding the flight. Stating that the security assessment report has not been received till then. Accordingly, they have to wait at the airport for another 8 hours until the next flight arrives there, and even get special security by notifying the local authorities through the Sri Lankan embassy in Kenya.
Then the next flight from Kenya to Mumbai, India arrived in Mumbai without even handcuffing the hands of Harak Kata and Kudu Salindu. That is because they were not allowed to put handcuffs on the plane. When this group arrived in Mumbai with the two suspects, the plane that was supposed to come from Mumbai to Sri Lanka had already flown to Sri Lanka.
Therefore, this group, which was supposed to arrive in Sri Lanka in the early morning of the previous day (14), arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday morning (15) with the two suspects. It was from a Sri Lankan flight. The flight was scheduled to land at 5.30 in the morning, but the flight was delayed for about 5 hours. The reason for this is that a passenger suffered a cardiac arrest while taking off from the Mumbai airport.
The airport immigration department and other essential duties were carried out near the plane, and steps were taken to bring the harak kata and kudu salinda to the Colombo Criminal Investigation Department through the air cargo terminal of the Katunayake airport. The police special task force had provided special security there.
During this time, there was strict security in the Katunayake airport, in the surrounding area and on both sides of the road taking them to Colombo.
