Gota’s wife received 30 ransom calls from a barber.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department apprehended an extortionist who was threatening ex-President Gotabha Rajapaksa’s wife, Mrs. Ayoma Rajapaksa, for a ten lakh rupee ransom.

Ganesan Yogan, a Kolonnawa Salamulla inhabitant, is the person in question.

According to the Criminal Investigation Department, she was threatened and begged for money for three days.

The Criminal Inquiry Department’s investigation found that this suspect called Mrs. Ayoma Rajapakse 30 times.

Thinking the call was made by mistake, former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s secretary made the call and called the threatening individual to explain the facts, but when he continued to threaten, he complained to the Criminal Investigation Department.

He stated that he was making such phone calls knowing about it after being notified.
